Today’s Panchang in your city

What it covers

Meet the day with a little more context.

Read the day’s lunar elements and timing windows, and check the date and source before you plan.

What you need

  • The calendar date you want to view, selected in the Website’s date form.
  • Check that the displayed day is the requested one, particularly after an error or retry.
  • Your city, chosen from the list in the hero (Delhi until you choose one). Times show in India Standard Time.
  • No birth date or personal Kundali is needed to read the daily almanac. This view does not automatically personalise timings to your birth chart.

Who it is for

  • People learning how the five Panchang elements sit beside the everyday calendar.
  • People checking the day’s lunar context before a routine, observance or family discussion.
  • People who want timing information with clear source and freshness labels rather than unexplained clock times.
1

Choose the day.

Open the daily view and select your date. Before reading the elements, confirm the displayed calendar day. A lunar date and a civil calendar date describe different aspects of the same day, so their names need not look alike.

2

Read the elements and timing labels.

Start with Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana and Vaara. Then check any timing windows and their source notes. An estimated weekday interval is not the same as a locally verified ceremonial time.

3

Plan with the right level of care.

Use the almanac as traditional context for ordinary planning. Check freshness, time zone and place before anything time-sensitive. For a specific ceremony, confirm the appropriate local calendar and requirements rather than treating one daily window as a complete personal muhurta.

Questions

Good to know before you start.

What are the five parts of Panchang?

They are Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana and Vaara. Together they describe the day through traditional lunar and weekday references. Start with these five labels before reading timing windows. You do not need to memorise every Sanskrit term to make sense of the daily view.

How soon does the selected day load?

The Website requests the almanac after you select a date, and it opens on the page when the service responds. There is no guaranteed loading time. If the request fails, read the error and retry; any older values still visible belong to the earlier result.

Where is my Panchang saved?

The Website does not create account history for this daily view. You can revisit the page and select a date again. When a fresh reading is not available, the page can show a saved copy of the day, labelled as such, but that is not a personal report archive or proof that today’s fresh data loaded.

Are the times calculated for my exact city?

Sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kaal, Yamagandam and Abhijit follow the city you choose from the list (Delhi until you choose one), shown in India Standard Time. Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are for India as a whole. A window marked approximate is a traditional estimate, not a local time.

Why does a window say approximate?

A window marked approximate is a traditional estimate, used when a local time could not be worked out for that day. It is useful context, but it is not an exact time for your city.

What does a stale or cached result mean?

It means the page is showing previously available data because fresh information could not be obtained. Read the displayed date and freshness message carefully. Retry before time-sensitive planning. A familiar-looking almanac should not be mistaken for a fresh response merely because the page loaded.

Is Abhijit available in every result?

Abhijit Muhurta shows for your chosen city whenever that day’s sunrise and sunset are known. If they are not, the card shows a dash rather than a guess.

Does Rahu Kaal mean I should cancel an urgent appointment?

No almanac window should delay urgent medical care, an important safety action or a necessary commitment. These windows belong to a traditional planning framework. Consider practical constraints and the advice of the relevant professional when making a decision.

Is this a personal muhurta or a complete festival calendar?

No. The daily almanac is not a personalised ceremony assessment based on your birth chart. The page adds the day’s festival, up to three names, beside the date when the source returns one, but a complete local observance calendar is not promised here. Confirm regional practice and specific ceremony requirements separately.

Where do I report a wrong day or ask about a paid service?

Contact [email protected] with the date, time zone and error message you saw. If your question concerns a separate purchased report or service, use Account Support and read the Refund policy with the order reference. A daily Panchang view does not create a report purchase or an automatic refund entitlement.
