Terms of Service

The short version

GrahaGuru gives you astrology guidance produced by software. It is for reflection, not for medical, legal or financial decisions.

Digital things you buy are delivered immediately and are not refundable once delivered or consumed, except where Indian law says otherwise.

You must be 18 or older. Be honest, do not abuse the service, and do not resell what you buy.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using GrahaGuru you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. No physical signature is needed.

You confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.

Account creation and paid use are limited to people aged 18 or older who can enter a binding agreement.

What GrahaGuru is

GrahaGuru computes Vedic astrology charts and produces readings, horoscopes, reports, palm and tarot readings, numerology, dream interpretation and answers from Vedika AI. GrahaGuru Shop and GrahaGuru Mall sell physical products.

Everything astrological on GrahaGuru is content for guidance and entertainment. It is not a service regulated by any professional body, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed.

What GrahaGuru is not

Nothing on GrahaGuru is medical advice, mental health treatment, legal advice, tax advice, investment advice or a financial product. We are not a bank, a lender, a card issuer, a deposit taker or a financial adviser, and we do not offer credit or debt services.

Do not delay or refuse professional care because of something GrahaGuru told you. If you are in distress, contact a qualified professional or an emergency service.

Decisions you take after reading GrahaGuru content are yours.

Vedika AI

Vedika AI generates text using automated systems. It can be wrong, incomplete or inconsistent, and two identical questions can produce different answers.

You keep ownership of what you type. You grant us a licence to process it so that we can answer you, and to keep it in your chat history until you delete it.

Do not put another person's sensitive personal data, or anyone's financial credentials, into a Vedika AI question.

We may set fair-use limits, rate limits and abuse limits on AI features.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

One person, one account. Do not create an account for someone else, impersonate anyone, or sell or transfer your account.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or that is the subject of a chargeback we consider dishonest. Where we close an account for a breach, unused balances are forfeited to the extent Indian law allows.

Paying for things

Prices are shown in Indian Rupees and include GST unless we say otherwise. A GST invoice is issued for every taxable supply and is available in your account.

On Android and iOS, digital items are sold through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase. Those purchases are governed by the store's own terms as well as ours, and the store handles the payment.

On the website, digital items and physical orders are paid through our payment gateway. We never store your card or UPI credentials.

If a payment succeeds but the item is not delivered, tell us and we will deliver it or refund it. That is the promise; see the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

GrahaGuru, GrahaGuru Shop and GrahaGuru Mall are brands of Xalen Technology Private Limited. They are internal brands of one company, not separate sellers, and every one of them invoices under the single GST registration GSTIN 27AAACX6117C1ZL. Your invoice names the brand you bought from, so you can tell which surface a charge came from.

A payment authorization or charge is not proof that a report, entitlement, credit or physical order was delivered. We verify payment and fulfilment independently and apply the Refund and Cancellation Policy for the correct plane.

Your wallet

Your GrahaGuru wallet is a prepaid balance you can spend on GrahaGuru features. It is not a bank account, not a deposit, not a payment instrument, and not a stored-value instrument issued under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007. It cannot be sent to another person, withdrawn as cash, or transferred out.

Paid credit and bonus credit are tracked separately. Bonus, promotional, referral, streak and goodwill credit has no cash value, is never refundable and never withdrawable, and is spent before paid credit.

Bonus and promotional credit expires 365 days after we add it, unless the offer it came from states a shorter period, in which case that offer's period applies. Free-tier and daily allowances expire on the shorter schedule stated where they are granted. Paid balance does not expire while your account is open and in good standing.

If you close your account, unconsumed paid balance is dealt with under the Refund and Cancellation Policy; bonus balance lapses.

A top-up is a single-purpose voucher. Every service the balance can buy carries the same rate of tax, so under section 12(4)(a) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 the top-up itself is the taxable supply. We issue you a GST tax invoice at the top-up. You do not get a further invoice each time you spend the balance, because the tax was already charged and invoiced when you topped up.

Bonus, free, promotional, referral and internally credited balance never appears on a GST invoice or a GST credit note. You paid nothing for it and no supply was made for it, so there is no tax to charge and none to reverse.

The Astro wallet, Shop store credit and a Mall transaction are separate records on separate planes. Value, eligibility, a refund or a transaction on one surface does not create or change value, eligibility, a refund or a transaction on another, and a balance shown on one surface is not proof of a balance on another.

Where we choose to do something for you beyond what this policy requires, we do it as GrahaGuru wallet credit, never as money returned to a card or a bank account. That credit is bonus credit: it has no cash value, it is not refundable, and it is not an entitlement or a precedent.

Subscriptions

A subscription renews automatically at the price and interval shown when you bought it, until you cancel.

A subscription is one entitlement across this website and the GrahaGuru apps. Whichever surface you bought it on, it works on all of them, so you never need to buy it twice. A subscription bought inside the Android or iPhone app is billed by the store, and the store's own terms and refund rules govern that purchase.

A subscription bought on this website renews automatically under a Reserve Bank of India e-mandate taken through Razorpay, our payment gateway. We show you the plan amount and the renewal interval before you authorise it, and you authorise the mandate once with additional factor authentication. Razorpay then sends you a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before each renewal charge. You can cancel at any time, from your account page or by writing to [email protected], and your access runs to the end of the cycle you have already paid for.

Where a charge is taken under an e-mandate without that pre-debit notification, or after you cancelled the mandate, we refund it in full.

Cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the period you are already in. That period is not refunded and your access runs to the end of it, except where Indian law requires a refund.

Physical orders

Physical products sold through GrahaGuru Shop and GrahaGuru Mall are governed by the Shop Commerce, Shipping, Returns and Warranty Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

What you may not do

Do not use GrahaGuru to break a law, to harass anyone, or to produce content that is obscene, defamatory, hateful, or harmful to a child.

Do not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, redistribute or republish GrahaGuru content, or use it to build a competing service or to train a model.

Do not attempt to bypass payment, exploit a pricing or wallet defect, or automate access to the service.

Content you upload must be yours to upload. We can remove content and disable access where we are required to, under rule 3(1)(d) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Our content

GrahaGuru, the GrahaGuru marks, the software, the artwork and the report templates belong to Xalen Technology Private Limited or our licensors.

A reading or report we generate for you is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may keep it and print it. You may not resell it or publish it as your own.

Availability

We try to keep GrahaGuru available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We can change, suspend or withdraw a feature. If we withdraw a paid feature you have already paid for and cannot deliver, we refund the undelivered part.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service the claim relates to in the three months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost opportunity, or any decision you took on the basis of astrological content.

These limits apply to the fullest extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and do not remove your statutory rights as a consumer.

Nothing in these terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to defective, deficient, spurious, late, not-as-described, or undelivered goods or services.

Complaints and disputes

Talk to us first: [email protected], or the Grievance Officer named in the Grievance and Consumer Complaint Policy. Most things are fixed there.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Pune, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, without taking away your right as a consumer to approach the consumer forum where you live under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

You may also use the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or the e-Daakhil portal.

Indian law applies, subject to the mandatory consumer and other statutory forums. These terms do not remove access to a consumer commission or another forum provided by law.

Changes

We can update these Terms. We will show the new effective date on this page and, for a material change, tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use GrahaGuru after that means you accept the change.
