Sade Sati Definition
Sade Sati (Hindi: साढ़े साती, meaning "seven and a half") is Saturn's 7.5-year transit over your Moon sign (Rashi). It occurs in three phases of 2.5 years each: Rising Phase (Saturn in 12th from Moon), Peak Phase (Saturn over Moon), and Setting Phase (Saturn in 2nd from Moon). Occurs approximately 2-3 times in a lifetime.

Rising Phase (Udaya)
Saturn transits 12th house from Moon | Duration: 2.5 years
Effects: Increased expenses, health concerns, sleep issues, foreign travel. Preparatory period for challenges ahead.
Peak Phase (Madhya)
Saturn transits over Moon sign | Duration: 2.5 years

Setting Phase (Asta)
Saturn transits 2nd house from Moon | Duration: 2.5 years
Effects: Financial concerns, family matters, speech issues. Gradual relief and consolidation of lessons learned.
