Account and Data Deletion

The short version

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app or from this website. You do not need to ask us.

Deletion is permanent. Your chats, readings, reports and wallet balance go with it.

Delete from the app

Astro app: open Profile, then use Delete account. Shop app: open Profile, then use Delete account. Follow the confirmation shown for that account.

Open GrahaGuru, go to Profile, then Delete Account, and confirm. The account is closed immediately and erasure begins.

Uninstalling the app does not delete the account.

Delete from the website

To request account deletion, write to [email protected] from the email address on the account.

We verify that the request is really from you before we act on it, because deletion cannot be undone. If we cannot verify it, we will ask you for one more proof rather than delete the wrong account.

What is erased

• Your profile, name, email, phone number and sign-in identity.
• Your birth details and the charts computed from them.
• Your Vedika AI conversations, questions and saved answers.
• Your readings, reports and any photograph you uploaded for a palm reading.
• Your device tokens, notification settings and app preferences.
• Your wallet balance, which is cancelled and not paid out.

What we must keep

Some records survive deletion because the law requires them. They are locked to legal use only and are not used to serve you or to market to you.

• Tax invoices, credit notes and payment evidence, kept for eight years under the Companies Act, 2013 and GST law.
• Records of a transaction we are required to retain under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
• Grievance and complaint records, kept for three years so that we can show how a complaint was handled.
• Records under an active legal hold, court order or ongoing dispute, kept until it ends.
• Anonymised and aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.

How long it takes

The account is closed at once. Personal data is erased or anonymised within 30 days, including from backups as they roll over, which can take up to 90 days.

The app confirms account deletion on screen as soon as it succeeds.

Before you delete

Cancel any active subscription first, in Google Play or in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the GrahaGuru account does not cancel a store subscription, and the store will keep charging you.

Download any report you want to keep. We cannot recover it afterwards.

Unconsumed wallet balance is not refunded on deletion. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
